Katong Diner Special Projects Ikat short sleeve shirt is made of lightweight organic cotton fabric with two front flap chest pockets and centre-front contrast facing panels. The Ikat weave fabric features a red and blue flag pattern on an off white background. Ikat is a resist dying technique where the threads used for weaving are dyed beforehand. Ikat cloths are susceptible to slubs and have ties in the cloth where one weaver ends and another begins. These are not flaws but the very nature that characterises the Ikat. This article comes in a limited edition of 2 pieces and is handmade by the team at WOODS & WOODS in Singapore.
